We put this bundle together because students at our Mira Road studio kept asking the same question: where do I find clean assets that work in college projects, freelance gigs, and portfolio reels without legal headaches? So we curated what we use in class and packaged it as a student bundle.

The pack is split into three folders so you can pull what you need without scrolling through clutter. Everything is licensed for student use, personal portfolios, and most non-commercial work.

Each file is named clearly. No "FINAL_v3_use_this_one" chaos. You will find a short readme.txt in each folder explaining where to install it, which software version it was tested in, and what licence applies.

Why students burn out hunting for free design assets

Most of the free design assets floating around online were never made for students. They are bait for a paid course, riddled with hidden watermarks, or rendered in a resolution too low for a 4K showreel. We have watched first-year students spend three evenings searching for one decent grunge brush.

That is time they should have spent learning the craft. The faster you stop searching, the faster you start drawing, editing, and animating. This bundle exists to delete that search step entirely.

How to use the bundle in real student projects

Downloading the pack is easy. Using it well takes a little planning. Here is the workflow we teach in our foundation classes.

1. Install once, organise forever. Drop brushes into your software preset folder, store LUTs in a labelled "LUTs" folder on your drive, and keep templates in a "Templates" master folder. Future-you will thank present-you.
2. Pick three, not thirty. For any single project, choose three brushes, one LUT, and one template. Constraint forces style; abundance creates noise.
3. Customise before you submit. Every template is editable on purpose. Change the colour palette, swap the font, rework the layout. Submitting a template untouched is how juniors get spotted in the worst way.
4. Credit when required. Personal portfolios do not need credits, but client work and competition entries sometimes do. The readme tells you which is which.
5. Build your own variants. After two months of using a brush, modify it. A custom brush in your toolkit is a signature; a borrowed one is a starting line.

Where each asset shines

Different tools solve different problems. Here is a quick map so you can match assets to the work in front of you.

• Character illustration and concept art — pencil, gouache, and ink brushes from the pack. Pair them with the neutral LUTs if you are photographing pencil sketches for digital cleanup.
• Short films and student documentaries — start with a flat log LUT, then layer the teal-orange or golden hour grade. Use the Premiere title kit for clean opening credits.
• Animation showreels — the After Effects lower thirds and the Figma portfolio layout are the fastest way to turn a folder of clips into a polished reel page.
• Pitch decks for client work or college juries — the PowerPoint and InDesign templates are deliberately simple so your work, not the layout, holds attention.
• Photography portfolios — the moody noir and golden hour LUTs were built around skin tones common in Mumbai street photography, so they hold up on Indian faces and Indian light.

If you are working on a 3D project, the brushes will not help directly, but the LUTs absolutely will in your final composite stage. Students from our 3D animation programme use them all the time on render passes inside After Effects or DaVinci Resolve.

A note on local context

We are based in Mira Bhayandar, and a lot of our students come in from Bhayandar, Dahisar, Borivali, Kandivali, Malad, and Thane. Many of you juggle long train rides, family commitments, and college submissions. The whole point of a curated bundle is to give back the two or three hours you would have spent searching for that one perfect brush.
